More Shameless Self-Promotion

October 13, 2006 02:29 PM

AFT researcher-about-town Howard Nelson will be a respondent on a panel at the Center for American Progress on Monday, October 16 at 9:30.  The main presenters are former Bushie Susan Sclafani, now hanging her hat with Rod Paige at the Chartwell Education Group, and Marc Tucker of the National Center on Education and the Economy, who co-wrote the paper to be discussed, Finding Quality Teachers for Public Schools: The International Challenge.  Rick Hess of the American Enterprise Institute is also a respondent.  You wouldn't know it from the title, but the paper focuses on performance-pay in Europe.  Should make for an interesting discussion.  RSVP here.

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder why teacher-basher and propaganda purchaser Paige is still around talking about education? Was faking the "Texas Miracle" such a strong credential?

Doesn't anyone check out anyone anymore?
