There is a lot to talk about given the results last night. But the last thing I checked before turning in were the results for the TABOR-style spending cap initiatives. I looked at the newspapers in Portland, Maine and Portland Oregon. There wasn’t a Portland paper in Nebraska, but the Omaha World Herald's headline "Spending Lid's Opening Slammed Shut Loudly" told me what I needed to know in what I'd like to think is a good example of how people in Nebraska actually talk. The bottom line is that TABOR was defeated in all three states We’ll have more to say about other state referenda a little later this morning, but let me also note that it was a good night for the minimum wage.
